You may already know this good news but the OTGS team retained the Halford Hewitt in 2009 after a gripping Final against a very good Old Merchant Taylors' team. The OMTs' were the surprise package in this year's Hewitt and they very nearly caused one more upset in their wonderful run.

Another great success for the OTGS in the Darwin at Woking. The same team (Jonathan Hubbard, Geoff Clay, Tim Jenkins, Tony Monteuuis, Peter Saggers and Martin Yates) has now won the trophy for the fourth consecutive year thus equalling the record performance of John Thompson's team in the eighties.

The OTGS team won the very enjoyable and competitive Littestone Invitation Foursomes event under William Marle's leadership. The event had been abandoned due to bad weather in 2008 but we also won it in 2007. After a break of too many years, the OTGS team seems to be getting the hang of it again.

Congratulations to William, his partner David J Evans and to our equally important "B Pair" Adrian Betts and Robert Taggart who actually had the day's best score with 37 points in the afternoon round.
