The Four Scools Match at Royal Worlington Report from David Biddle
A happy day though no honours this year. To be honest our game generally was not good, with the exception of Miles Connell who struck the ball really well, particularly in the morning.
A.M. Drawn against Uppingham, M. Connell and D. Biddle lost by one hole to J. Thompson and J. Purvis, while Tony Biddle and Sam Staveley struggled against pretty good figures to lose 4/3.
P.M. Not used to playing playing for 3rd. place ! We hit lunch rather hard, and, against Marlborough, to be honest I'm not quite sure of the result. They claimed a win, so we left it at that.
Oh, by the way, Uppingham best Greshams in the final.
We still lead the honours board.
