The Winter Meeting at Seaford GC on 15th and 16th November. Report from Colin Vokins
Fourteen members attended at least part of the meeting. Again the Winter Meeting was played under almost cloudless skies and Seaford afforded a warm welcome and a good test of golf.
As a warm up on Thursday there was a 3 ball team event with 2 scores to count. Adrian Cooper, Graham Dudley and John Crisp scored an amazing 81 points and were not seriously challenged.
On Friday there was another easy win. This time David Golding-Wood scored an excellent 37 points. Jonn Crates was second with 32. The remainder were left pondering the speed and subtlety of Seaford's greens. Any putt from above the hole posed a serious examination.
After an enjoyable two days, our thoughts turned to meeting again in the Spring.
