OTGS v The School
Wildernesse Golf Club : Tuesday 13th May 2008.
Report from Richard Stocks.
As usual this match takes place on the afternoon of the ladies Spring Meeting at Wildernesse through the kind offices of Richard Partridge and the generosity of Wildernesse golf club. Because the ladies were lunching and hadn’t cleared the mens’ changing room, we hadn’t to change in the somewhat Spartan junior clubhouse, not that that mattered because it was a beautiful day. The School are struggling a little at present as far as their golf is concerned but it is always a pleasant afternoon, much enjoyed especially by the boys. As usual the higher handicap boys came into their own to defeat our two bottom pairs so the OTGS won 3-2. We all, especially the boys, tucked into a buffet supper afterwards.
