OTGS v Old Wellingtonian GS at R.Ashdown Forest on 16th July

This was a new fixture and everyone enjoyed it very much. However the results were pretty disastrous from the Tonbridge point of view.
Our top pair, Adrian Cooper and Neil Williamson, were well defeated (4/3) by a relentless Wellington pair, Mike Preedy and Simon Pettigrew.
Martin Smith and Richard Gracey redressed the balance by beating Gavin Eadie and John Whittaker, with both pairs missing easy putts.
I am afraid that our bottom pairs, Richard Dresner and Chris Pettman, and Richard Roberts and Patrick Gracey, were too erratic and lost 3/1 and 3/2 respectively.
It was a popular fixture and should be come a regular part of our golfing fixture list – although I hope that the Tonbridgians will make a better showing next year!
