O.T.G.S. v Littlestone G.C. Sunday 20th July.

It was always going to be an uphill task to win in successive years, but we
nearly made it. In the morning we found ourselves one short with one of our
number eventually found on his way to Sevenoaks taking his son to play
cricket.
A Club member was declared an honorary O.T. for the morning and succeeded in
winning two points on the day, one of only two on either side to manage
this.
It was very good to have two newcomers to the team, both undefeated. Many
thanks to George Hubbard for travelling from Thurlestone for the game. We
were evenly matched at lunchtime after which one game decided to watch the
Open rather than play. In the afternoon we had our noses just in front but
the redoubtable Gary Fagg won his game to level the match. Our warmest
thanks go again to Littlestone for their first class hospitality and a
course which was at its very best.
