Although rain clouds threatened most of the day this popular fixture was once again played out in pleasant spring weather, in a perfect setting, and with the usual cameraderie of previous years. At lunch Sherborne were in a nervous frame of mind, trailing 3-2, but managed to turn it around to earn a 5-5 draw. Average handicaps were Tonbridge 17, Sherborne 14, so the extra shots played their part! Another splendid day.
